それぞれの事情や悩みを抱え、夜の街に繰り出す主人公たち。
彼らは、賑やかな酒場やクラブなど、あえて人々が集う公共の場を選び、孤独になりたがる。完全に独りになる勇気はない、人間の温もりを感じる場所で。騒々しい世間から距離を置く為、ヘッドフォンで周囲を遮断。すると、あるナンバーが流れてくる、『I hope to tie me to tonight』。
音が導いた空白の世界、そこは冷静に周囲を見渡せる心地よい居場所だった。客観的に、色んな人の人生の一部を垣間見れる特別な場所。様々な状況で悩み苦しむ人たちと出会い、辛いのは自分だけでは無いと思える。本当は泣きたい筈なのに、希望が湧く。“寂しいよ、もう一度逢いたい”。時に感情的になるのもいい。そんな素直な自分も悪くない。
